Budget Cut
When I hear the word budget cut the first thing that comes to my mind is LESS.
Not long ago the economy started to decrease its budget. We are not talking about a few hundred dollars, but nor thousands. More like billions. It affected us all. Today I am going to focus on school budget cuts.
School funding is not good and we all know that. Many people have been affected by it. From teaches to staff to students. According to the Department of Finance school budget cut will be cutting 17% more that what it already is. I don’t know what it will be like if to me it already is terrible. We college students as well as its staff are going through a lot.
There has been an increase in fees. Classes are already too full, and students have been cutting back in classes due to the fact that they have been eliminating some classes the other ones are already overcrowded. It is not fair that it is taking college students longer than planned to complete their degrees because of these cut backs.
Teachers have been taken some of their classes if not all because there is not enough money to pay for their teaching. My personal Growth teacher says she is not teaching that class any longer because they were going to hand it over to another teacher.
In conclusion, I think that school budget cut is bringing everyone down. Not only us students, but teachers as well.

I think you know exactly what you want to talk about, or what you want to focus on. But there are few suggestions that I want to make about your debate. I found out some typo in your writing, so make sure when you revise your final draft, look for them and fix them. Secondly, look over the sentence and some punctuation marks. Thrid, I think you should make your introduction more interesting. I'm not saying that it's not good, but you know, make it a little bit more intersting. I think you did a good job on using the percentage to back up your point.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the expensive fees and some unavailable classes for students. I don't think it's a good way to increase the fees, because poor students can't afford to pay for the classes.
ReplyDeleteyou have a very valid point. My first suggestion would be to reread what you wrote and fix some grammatical errors. Although your sentences make sense I think your wording is a little bit off. The other suggestion is to maybe talk about other examples of the budget crisis. In my essay I talked about the problem of Medical needs as well as the fact that $1.2 Billion is being cut from prison which leads to prisoners being released before their sentencing is complete. Another thing is also how because people won't be making money, the consumer rate decreases as well which will affect different companies. Also you could probably talk about alternative ways to cut budgets instead so that it will not affect schools. Other than that I think you have a great point, and especially since we are students ourselves I think it is important to think about how budget cuts could affect students like us.
