Budget cuts on schools in California

In this economic crisis, everyone is working their way to sustain their statuses. Companies will decrease expands while people decrease their outflow of money. Same as our government, it cuts much of it’s expands in order to balance the deficits. I believe cutting expands is the right way to deal with our deficit. However, cutting budget on schools isn't sound like the best way to do so. This act will have a long term negative effect in our society and our economy.
The Budget cut in school isn't a right way to do so. Our economy is actually supported by our education. In order to maintain our economic growth, we need more and more well trained employees to do the job for us. Our educational system is the main way to satisfy the need. However, if we cut budget in schools, the schools will not be able to continue provide well trained workers. Because the budget cuts, some schools need to close down some major department. For example, Mesa College reduced the classes in all subjects; so many students aren't be able to take the classes they actually need, which cause their time to transfer to other colleges. Therefore, budget cut isn't the right to do so.
This isn't the most effective way to solve our financial problem. There are some organizations in the government get most of the funding, but have less contribution to the society than education. For example, NASA, the organization that concerns with spacecraft and space travel. If the government closes NASA for one year, we will clear up our deficits in one year approximately. Same as welfare, there are lots of people abuse the welfare system and waste our tax money. There are lot of people don't really need the welfare to live. If we stop paying to those aren't qualify and paying to those do qualify, we will not only successfully save up our money but to rebuild our organization's system.
In conclusion, cuts expands on schools isn't the right way to balance the deficits.

  1. you have a very valid point. My first suggestion would be to reread what you wrote and fix some grammatical errors. I noticed that you use the word expand more than enough times in the beginning. Although your sentences make sense I think your wording is a little bit off. The other suggestion is to maybe talk more in depth about the examples of the budget crisis, and use numerical statistics to back up your idea. In my essay I talked about the problem of Medical needs as well as the fact that $1.2 Billion is being cut from prison which leads to prisoners being released before their sentencing is complete, and how$6 billion is cut from schools. Another thing is also how because people won't be making money, the consumer rate decreases as well which will affect different companies. Other than that I think you have a great point, and especially since we are students ourselves I think it is important to think about how budget cuts could affect students like us.

  2. I agree with you on the NASA point. I would suggest you reword a few sentances and present some definite financial figues. Overall your point was well given.

  3. i like the first paragraph, you went right to the point. I also like how you gave some suggestions on how to fix the budgetproblem, like closing down NAsA for one year. Asdo you make a very valid point on the education system and how its not a good idea to cut the budget from schools.

  4. First, I absolutely agree with your points in your essay. The Budget cut in school isn't a right way to do and it isn't the effective way to solve financial problem in school. It will affect to school and students. I think you have two good ideas in your essay but they are not enough. Therefore, i suggest you should give one more main idea and reasons in your essay.
