School Budget Cuts
Schools have been around for a very long time. We all know that the United States economy is at an all time low but the worst we can do now is take money away from our school systems. Schools are the only way we can make our youth strong for later on in the future. The youth now will later be our presidents, lawyers, police officers and more. By us trying to spare a couple dollars now will only affect them on later.
Schools have been cutting programs to spare a couple bucks but is it really worth it?. Imagine high school without football. It wouldn’t be a high school atmosphere, would it. The economy is far away from getting better. We are now reaching the ten percent unemployment and climbing. There is much more alternatives to saving money instead of taking money away from our children. I was lucky enough to graduate from high school on the year 2009. People say the worst is barely starting. People have already told me how the budget cuts have affected them. No public transportation for students anymore, no more summer school and lower quality lunch food. The food was already horrible imagine it even more.
The budget cuts have a positive side to them too. The money that is being saved will be a backup if the worst happens. They are doing a good thing by thinking ahead of time. This economy may stabilize itself overtime or it may get even worse. We digged ourselves into this hole, now we have to dig ourselves back out. Many alternatives are out there to save our money but we have to make the right choices. Schools will always be in our planet no matter were we go in the world. Taking money from our schools will just have its effects later on in the future. The youth of America is in our schools and that youth will become our worlds leaders one day. We are all passing through a rough time now a days but if we help each other , we will all be fine.
