In our country the United States of America money is being cut from funding certain projects and thing that we need all over the world. Some of the money cuts are for schools, like in California Arnold Swartzenegger is cutting millions of dollars from schools forcing them to cut classes and teachers. Other cuts are being made for parks and recreational places, for instance on fiesta island they took away the bon-fire pits for a short time till someone privately paid for them to be kept around. In reality these cuts do save money but there are better cuts to be made instead of taking away things that people love most.
I think that government official’s pay should be cut some because they are being paid way to much money to make poor decisions for today’s people. They get to go on lavish trips and spend our tax money on things that we can not afford while they try “so hard” to figure out where our money is going to and how we could spend it better. THEY are part of the problem and until our government can get its act together they should not be paid as much. Our government official’s are very smart which is for the most part why they got put into office and can make the large sums of money they do make, yet of we can’t afford to give them that pay they should not be receiving it. Obviously someone isn’t doing their job that they are getting paid so much to do.
Budget cuts that I do not agree with are in schools. Many programs like choir are being cut from schools. If all of them are eliminated we will not have creative people in our future. We will have no one to design our buildings or sing on our stages because nothing in school will be inspiring them to do so. Many of these classes have been cut already or are going to be soon, and America cannot afford to have dull people in our future. If we close doors of creativity the colorful world we know and love will go to waste because everyone will be so busy working, and there will be no entertainment.
Another cut is in the park and recreational system. Less money is being put into parks to clean and keep them running. These places are were we grew up playing, and played with our friends. When we no longer can go to a park for a picnic with friends and family because its too dirty you know the budget cuts have gone too far. Money needs to not be spent as frivolously on things that do not matter.
We bailed out big insurance companies that used our money for bonuses and going on big vacations. This was all a scam. All of the money we are putting into bailing out isn't being used the correct way. Once our money is used we can not go back and get the money back and our country is already so in debt we need to find a way to get ourselves out of this hole.
I think that budget cuts can be good if the right things are cut, but cutting things like school that is supposed to better the people of tomorrow, or cutting costs in our community that are used for family does not make sense. We need our roads paved and streets clean, not wealthy government officials.
