I'm against gay marriage but I'm open to hear other people and their thoughts about gay marriage. People are entitled to their opinions and if your for it that's fine.
See, to me Gay marriage is in the hands of democracy, if the majority of people don't want Gay marriage, then it shouldn't be allowed. People that say this isn't truly a free country are blind, we had the freedom to vote for it or not. We are a very conservative country with many religions and many religious people so many people disagree with gay marriage.
just because someone is against gay's does not necessarily mean they are gay. it could possibly mean that they do not have all the facts. or just do what religion tells them to do
It is difficult to have an opinion on gay marriage, since I do believe in God and the Bible, but I also believe in people being happy and choosing what suits them.
gay marriage shouldn't be banned just because of different family life styles or religious beliefs, or what's going to happen to the education system. the ideal view of a family is already ruined. i bet there are high rates of divorce in the united states. and the education system is very good anyways.

people should have the right to love whoever they want and not have boundries or be judge to extremes like some gays have actually been murdered for being gay and they dont take violent measures to get their point across so i also think thats pretty messed up
The real case and point to me is that to many people are trying to own the word Marriage. It is both a Legal and Religious term. Can we all remember the separation of Church and State? The church can have marriage, but give any partnership equal rights. If you look in to rights alone there is inequality, And that my friends is Un-American, Home of the Brave (to face challenges) and Land of the Free.
many see it as its because they dont want others to see it and become gay.. but being gay is either you are or ure not. u dnt choose to be gay unless you want to exprience it. but when someone is gay its because they were born like that just some take longer to realize what their perfernces are or just dont want to believe it.
just so people know gay marraiges last longer and are way more healthy than straight ones they divorce less and do more for the community than any other group

part of the problem is being told what you can and cannot do. its wrong when you see your friends or relatives with all these rights being allowed to live their lives any ways they want and you cant because you love some one of the same sex
yeah and some people arent even born gay some are turned cuz of rape or stuff like that so its not their fault and even if they were born gay its also not their fault that their body feels a certain way towards the same sex so its not like they can control it and be like oh i decide to be attracted to one gender and then the other cuz im sure nobody else can do that

Anthony make a good point about the benefits that married couple have. But love is an unconditional feeling. If you love each other, you just want to be with each other regardless of the benefits you'll get in the future.

How can you be born gay? You can be brought up in a more gender way then another. Parents pushing at you in different ways not trying to but, it happens. Friends, school, society; not because your born gay. That's not how it happens.

Well it depends, some people are gay from the beginning, but sometimes people don't realize they are until much later after being straight just wasn't working out for them and they find themselves more and more attracted to men.
All this talk of disability and mental illness makes me sick. There are a lot of famous gay people who have made it very far in life that dont have a "disability"

when they are kids they really dont know what they are doing. just because a boy plays with dolls doesnt mean their going to be gay. but when they are little you tend to see things that tell you they are gay or not but only the person knows deep down sometimes you dont realize it until very old. i had some older friends at work with wife and kids and at 56 finally realize he wasnt happy and he was gay. its not that he wanted to be

The bible doesn't say follow the devil and be for gay marriage, it says to believe in the Lord and have eternal life. You choose what religion you are. Don't judge my religion if you don't know the first meaning about being a christian. You can believe whatever you want.
